PowerFilm: Harnessing Solar Energy – A Tour of Facilities
The April IEEE Section Meeting will feature a tour of PowerFilm. This will be a joint meeting with the Iowa State University IEEE Student Branch and the Power and Energy Society Chapter. Members of the Engineers Club of Des Moines will also be joining us for this tour.
After the tour we will have dinner at Hickory Park. Everyone will order from the menu.
PowerFilm designs and manufactures custom solar cells, panels, and power solutions for energy harvesting, portable, and remote power applications using proprietary thin-film or high-efficiency crystalline PV technology.
