Empowering through Web 3.0. technologies
The event organized by LADT in collaboration with Université La Sagesse aims to shed light on the transformative potential of Web3 technologies in the realm of financial inclusion and digital transformation. Through a comprehensive program from 3 pm to 5 pm, participants will be introduced to key concepts such as digital transformation, Web3 technologies, blockchain, cryptocurrency, stable coins, security measures and private keys, wallets, and the state of financial exclusion along with potential solutions. The event will also feature Empowch, a visionary fintech company, demonstrating how Web3 can address financial exclusion and open doors to economic opportunities for marginalized populations. By fostering discussions and showcasing practical solutions, this event seeks to inspire action towards a more inclusive and empowered financial ecosystem, benefiting individuals, businesses, and policy makers alike.

Ms. Randa Al Rifai
Biography:
Randa Al Rifai is a female pioneer, an early adopter, and a distinguished leader in guiding the future of Blockchain technology and facilitating the know- how of decentralized finance and Web3 in the Middle East. As an Ex-banker, Randa manifested her 15 years of diversified banking experience into catalyzing financial literacy and financial technology education among communities. She founded the first Lebanese Association for Digital Transformation to focus on offering comprehensive paradigm shifts in embracing digital transformation and emerging technologies.
Randa has a proven record of business development within start-ups which empower financial inclusion, and project management/consultancy roles with agencies consulting on Blockchain business solutions. Randa has delivered training and academic workshops to university students and professionals on the topics of Blockchain business solutions. She holds a master’s degree in science of Blockchain and Digital Currency at University of Nicosia, in addition to other executive blockchain technology certifications, and banking and finance degrees.
Mr. Michael Ghannam
Biography:
Michael Ghannam is the Product manager and developer at Empowch. Michael has a versatile technical lead with over 3 years of dedication to the product, spearheads frontend development for the Empowch mobile application. Recently, he expanded his role to include product management and regional business development. Michael’s experience includes the latest mobile cross platform technology and tools.
