Generators 101 and Alternative Fuels
The IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) Hawaii Chapter will be hosting a seminar series on generators with guest speaker and local legend, Cliff Yuen, from Hawthorne CAT. Generators are essential for many critical facilities to prevent disruptions of day-to-day operations. The focus of this talk will be on diesel genset applications and best design applications.
While this talk is geared towards a "greener" audience (pun intended), this is great for EEs of all levels—whether you are a budding engineer looking to learn about best generator design practices, or are an experienced professional looking to brush up on basics and learn about alternative fuel sources that are becoming ever so common in our push towards a sustainable Hawaii.
Join us in-person at 733 Bishop Street for free refreshments, a great time, and an awesome learning experience!
Don't work in town? Don't worry! Check out the Microsoft Teams link and call in.
Networking will continue at Conference Room F after the seminar for those with no additional evening plans.
