BMSCE IEEE Computer Society on account of Phaseshift 2023 organized "NoCode" a tech-friendly initiative designed for beginners in machine learning, aiming to empower participants to harness the vast potential of machine learning without coding. Centered around the theme "Machine Learning for a Utopian Life," the event took place exclusively on Teachable Machine.

 

The event attracted 10 enthusiastic individuals. The venue for the competition was AIML LAB 2, PJA Block, BMSCE. The judge for the event was Mr. Padmakar Deshpande, Data Scientist at Ather Energy.

 

The competition comprised three stages. In the initial phase, participants were given two hours to select a problem statement, find suitable datasets, and train their models using Teachable Machine. The second stage involved a thirty-minute window for participants to prepare presentations, while the final round required them to present their ideas and demonstrate their model's functionality to the judge. The judge evaluated the presentations based on various criteria.

 

Following the presentations from all participants, the judge announced the winner and runner-up. The event concluded with the judge providing valuable feedback to each participant. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to engage in conversations with the judge for mentorship and networking.

 

Overall, the event proved to be a great success, with participants offering positive feedback on the well-organized nature of the competition and expressing how they benefited from it. The event successfully achieved its goal of sparking curiosity and encouraging individuals from diverse technical backgrounds to delve into the field of machine learning.
