The IEEE - SJCE RAS Chapter, in collaboration with the IEEE Mysore Subsection, will be hosting an alumni talk on "Robotics Operating System."

We have Mr. Sujeendra Ramesh as our guest for this event. He graduated from SJCE with a bachelor's in Electronics and Communication in 2020. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Robotics Technology at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, with an expected graduation in May 2025. The talk begins with an introduction to ROS, followed by an explanation of ROS nodes, communication, and the ROS File System. The session concludes with a case study illustrating the application of ROS in an Autonomous Robot.

The talk will be moderated by Dr. Sudarshan Patil Kulkarni, Ex-Chair, IEEE Mysore Subsection, IEEE-SJCE RAS Staff Advisor, and Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication, JSSSTU (SJCE), Mysuru.

It will be held on April 18th at 4 p.m. and will be conducted both offline as well as live-streamed on YouTube.
