Biography:

M.G.Umamaheswari, Professor,Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has obtained her undergraduate degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore and her post graduate degree in Electrical Drives and Embedded Control and doctoral degree in the area of power quality from College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai. With a teaching and research experience of more than twenty three years, she has presented more than 30 papers in national and international conferences and has published papers in high impact factor international journals, which includes IEEE  Transactions on Power Electronics, IET Power Electronics, IET Circuits, Devices and Systems etc.She is a recognized Supervisor for Doctoral degree program under faculty of Electrical Engineering at Anna University and she has guided four Ph.D. scholars and currently guiding five Ph.D. Scholars. She is a reviewer of the many reputed International Journals. She is a life member of professional bodies like ISOI and ISTE. Her research areas of interest include power quality enhancement using power converters, applications of linear and non-linear controllers to renewable energy systems.
