ELECT2CONNECT - AN INSIGHTFUL PANEL DISCUSSION ON THE AWARENESS AND IMPORTANCE OF VOTING
On April 18, 2024, the SEC IEEE Technology & Engineering Management SBC, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS) and the Department of Management Studies (MBA), successfully organized Elect2Connect, a thought-provoking Panel Discussion on the Awareness and Importance of Voting, coinciding with IEEE Education Week and the forthcoming 18th Lok Sabha elections in India.
The event, held at the FW Taylor Hall in Sri Sairam Engineering College, witnessed esteemed guests including Dr. Palaniandi, Director - IQAC, and Dr. Maran, Director - SIMS, who imparted valuable insights on the significance of active participation in the democratic nation-building process, particularly among the youth. Seven teams from SEC & SIT actively engaged in the discussions, expressing their viewpoints with fervor and efficacy.
Recognizing the enthusiasm and dedication of the participants, the top performers and the best-performing team were honored with cash rewards, encouraging a spirit of healthy competition and engagement. Throughout the discourse, the attendees fervently emphasized the importance of exercising voting rights responsibly and the crucial role of informed decision-making in selecting competent leaders for the nation.
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), the initiative remains committed to realizing Vision 2025, underscoring the college's dedication to nurturing socially responsible and politically aware citizens.
