IEEE Gujarat Section organized an expert talk on “Evolution of 6G Standards and Network Slicing Concept” by Prof. Debabrata Das in association with IEEE Ganpat University Student Branch, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Ganpat University, and Institution’s Innovation Council on 29th November, 2023 at Ganpat University. The event was supported by Dr. Kiran Amin, Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor & Executive Dean, FoET, Ganpat University & chair of IEEE Gujarat Section and Prof. Rahul Jain, Branch Counsellor of IEEE Ganpat University Student Branch.

 

 

Prof. Debabrata Das, Director of IIIT - Bangalore and Chair of IEEE India Council, shared valuable insights on this evolving technology. Sir explained how our phones and internet work. Prof. Das talked about how each new generation (like 3G, 4G, and now 5G) improves our internet speed and 
reliability. They discussed that 6G, the next generation, aims to be even faster and smarter. Prof. Das explained that it is not just about speed; it is also about connecting various devices more efficiently, like smart home gadgets, self-driving cars, and even things we have not invented yet
