Topic: Drones 101

Abstract 

 

Small drones, which consist mostly of quad and hexacopters, are controversial and incredibly useful.  They have developed rapidly, in the last 5 years, in terms of capability and safety.  We will review their technology, capabilities, safety features, changing regulatory environment and their role in community service.  A typical consumer drone will be used to demonstrate some features as time, space and weather permit.

There will be free parking for this event in the lot directly south of the Education Activity Building (EAB).    As you approach the buidling going up the hill, the parking entrance is on the left just before the EAB.  Parking in any other lot will cost $1.

Select the Presentation Only which has a 0 fee option under the "Registration Fee" drop-down box.  Then select (Register & Pay Later) button to complete registration.

DINNER RESERVATION CANCELLATION POLICY An email to Meeting Contact prior to the close of reservations is required to properly cancel your reservation. Refunds for PayPal payments are complicated, and we request that you leave the funds on deposit for a future meeting.
