Overleaf Workshop in 2024
(Note that this event is held only in Japanese.)
Overleaf is an online LaTeX editor that can be used in a browser and does not require a complex environment to build. The goal is to have the first opportunity to introduce Overleaf, where you can collaboratively edit an IEEE article template and understand how to use it easily.
This event is co-organized by Sendai Sect. YP AG, Tokyo Sect. YP AG and Japan Council.
This event is supported by Kansai Sect. LMAG and WIE AG, Hiroshima, Shikoku and Fukuoka Jt. Sect. YP AG, Nagoya Sect. YP AG, and Sapporo Sect. YP AG.

Mr. Nobuo Aoki of SOKENDAI/NII
Backup/Offload method on installed TeX system with integrated tools for Overleaf users
He introduced the source code backup procedure, which is an issue for online LaTeX editors such as Overleaf, at three different levels of skill. In addition, he explained how to offload the compile load to an external system by preparing environment-independent thin client software that can be compiled with only the source code available.
Biography:
Nobuo Aoki received the B.Comp.E and M.C.E degrees in computer and network engineering from Hiroshima City University, in 2021 and 2023, respectively. He is currently a doctoral student in the informatics program at The Graduate University for Advanced Studies, SOKENDAI. In August 2022, he joined Research Organization of Information and Systems National Institute of Informatics, Tokyo, Japan, where he is currently a Research Assistant with the Information Systems Architecture Science Research Division. Since October 2023, he has been a SOKENDAI Special Researcher in the information and artificial intelligence field. His research interests include lifecycle management mechanisms as represented by software updates in IoT systems.
