SUIT'UP : SPAx Tunisia 2024
Description:
Following the signing of a partnership agreement between IEEE Tunisia Section and Orange Digital Center in Q4 - 2023, a significant boost was provided to IEEE student activities. One of the initial actions taken under this collaboration was the organization of the Suit'Up - IEEE SPAx Tunisia event by IEEE INSAT Student Branch and IEEE ENIT Student Branch, marking the inauguration of activities within an ODC club as per the agreement.
As we approach the crucial summer internship period, an event was designed specifically to prepare students for their transition into professional life. Through interactive workshops, participants were given the opportunity to refine their skills, polish their resumes, enhance their LinkedIn profiles, and learn effective job and internship search techniques. Special emphasis was placed on developing skills in technical interviewing, emotional intelligence, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), all essential for success in today's professional landscape. A dedicated workshop focused on professional behavior and best practices in the workplace, summarizing all the topics covered throughout the event.
Program Highlights:
Check-in: Participants received welcome packs comprising notebooks, stickers, and pins during check-in.
Opening Ceremony & Suit’up Play: The event commenced with historical context presented by moderators. Following this, speeches were given by key figures including the director of INSAT, chairpersons of IEEE INSAT SB and IEEE ENIT SB, Volunteers Tools Coordinator Mohamed Ali Zormati, and student representative Khaldoun Taktak. A playful enactment of various job interview scenarios was performed by partner Theatro INSAT.

Closing Ceremony & Giveaway: Gratitude was expressed to all participants, guests, and speakers during the closing ceremony. Additionally, a giveaway of three free courses from Coursera was held, followed by a group photo session.

1. How to Sit for an Interview: Tips and tricks for successful interviews were shared by Salha Ben Gharbia and Rahma Berrahal.
2. How to Hunt a Job: Practical job search strategies were discussed by Chaima Sancho.
3. How to Master Emotional Intelligence: Strategies for managing emotions were explored with Cherine Zmerli.
4. How to be Professional: Professionalism guidance was provided by Olfa Hammami.
5. How to Use NLP: Insights into behavior and communication patterns were shared by Ons Ben Cheikh Larbi.
This event not only equipped participants with valuable skills but also fostered collaboration between industry and academia.
