OVERVIEW

A J.A.M (Just a Minute) Competition called QUICK QUIP was held by IEEE AP-S and MTT-S  SBC’s GEC Barton Hill on 9th March, 2024 at 7:00 PM via Google Meet. The judges were Anamika A Kamath (Chair IEEE MTTS-S SBC GECBH) and Reshma Ramesh (Chair IEEE,AP-S SBC GECBH).There was a total of 32 participants out of which 19 were IEEE members and 13 were Non-IEEE members. The competition was conducted in the traditional format of JAM competition. The participants were asked to choose a number which contains a topic. They were given one minute for preparation and another one minute for expressing their views and opinion about that topic. The judgement was based on choice of words, expression, relevance to the topic, confidence in speech and style of presentation.

After a series of captivating speeches, winners were announced based on their overall performance and adherence to the rules of the game. IEEE Goodies were the prizes for the winners. 

The winners of the competition were:

First Prize – Athira L (GECBH)

Second Prize – Arjun B Gopan (GECBH)

Third Prize – Abhijith S P (GEC Palakkad)
