Members present: Y. El-Sharkh, J. Magnin, C. Huber, S. Latif, E. Spencer, D. Touma, M. Shaban

The meeting was called to order at 11:30 AM.

Meeting minutes:

  • The IEEE Mobile Section Executive Committee elections will be conducted by early November 2024 through V-Tools. A nomination committee composed of three members (D. Touma, C. Huber and M. Shaban) will send the names of the committee members to IEEE R3 region in June.
  • Next, the committee will seek nominations from both academia and industry to fill in the President, Vice President, Treasurer positions. New officers will start their appointments in January 2025.
  • Also, elections will be conducted every two years. No officer can remain in the same position for more than six years.
  • The IEEE competition will be scheduled in early September. Flyers and competition terms will be finalized by May 15.
  • The IEEE Student Branch conducted its elections in the Spring semester.

    Chair adjourned the meeting at 1:30 PM.
