Ideas to transform digital Bangladesh to Smart Bangladesh


The goal of Smart Bangladesh is to create a sustainable and technologically sophisticated
country. Also, Bangladesh is becoming a hotspot for tech companies and a destination for
international investment as a result of these initiatives. With an emphasis on using
technology to create sustainable economic growth and raise everyone's standard of living,
Smart Bangladesh appears to have a bright future.
❖ To become a “Smart Country”, new innovative ideas need to be
generated.

• Innovative ideas, hardware or simulation projects linked to Smart Bangladesh specially in
the following fields are encouraged to participate-
✓ Smart Agriculture
✓ Smart City
✓ Smart Transportation
✓ Smart Healthcare
✓ Smart Campus
✓ Smart Buildings
✓ Smart Education
• Open to all undergraduate and graduate students.
• Team structure: Maximum 3 persons.
• The screening phases:
❖ Preliminary Phase: Pre-recorded Video Presentation
❖ Final Phase: The selected teams from the video presentation will present their project
in the final round
Final round will be held in the venue on the conference day

Dr. Mohammad Abdul Matin is a distinguished researcher and academic specializing in photonics and optics. He obtained his Ph.D. from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Purdue University, West Lafayette in 2019, following an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2011 and 2009 respectively. Dr. Mohammad Abdul Matin holds prominent positions within professional organizations, serving as Secretary of IEEE Bangladesh Section (BDS), Vice-Chair of the IEEE Photonics Society Bangladesh Chapter, and Founding President of The Optica Bangladesh Section. His research interests encompass photonics, optics, and plasmonic biosensing, focusing on innovative applications and advancements in these areas. Driven by a passion for research and education, Dr Mohammad Abdul Matin contributes significantly to the development and dissemination of knowledge within the field of photonics and related disciplines.
