IEEE STEM OUTREACH PROGRAM - IOT BASED REAL-TIME EXPERIMENTS
The Department of Information Technology, in collaboration with the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of Sri Sairam Engineering
College, successfully organized a "Hands-on Training Session on Internet of Things" on April 06, 2024, at Sri Sairam Vidyalaya, Madipakkam. The
event spanned from 9:00 AM to 4:10 PM, divided into two sessions. In Session 1 (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM), participants were introduced to the world
of IoT, exploring its concepts and applications. Session 2 (1:00 PM - 4:10 PM) delved deeper into IoT, offering hands-on experience and practical
insights. A total of 36 students attended the first batch, and 45 students participated in the second batch, showcasing their active engagement.
The training covered four diverse problem statements, each designed to challenge and enhance participants 'understanding of IoT
concepts. Students provided positive feedback, describing the event as insightful and exciting. The hands-on approach enabled effective learning,
and interactive sessions facilitated dynamic idea exchange. After a fruitful session, a quiz was conducted and the top performing teams were
rewarded with exciting prizes in both the sessions.
