The UISB IEEE Chapter kicked off the new year with a bang at our first general meeting. Led by our chair, Oluwatoberu, the meeting was a chance for everyone to introduce themselves, share their departments and year, and get to know each other better. Next up, we took a trip down memory lane with a quick look back at the awesome IEEE events they pulled off in 2023. Some members even shared some cool details about what went down at those events. But the real excitement came when they started talking about plans for the rest of the year. The meeting turned into a brainstorming session with everyone throwing out ideas for upcoming activities. It was a great way to get everyone involved and hear what people were interested in. We didn't just talk about general plans though. We also picked a date for our big IEEE SPAC conference this year! With a date locked in, we're one step closer to making it an epic event (although the details on what it'll be like are still under wraps). The meeting wrapped up with a Q&A session where everyone could ask questions and share any last thoughts. And of course, there were refreshments to keep the good vibes flowing! This first meeting definitely set the tone for a busy and exciting year for the UISB IEEE Chapter. With a plan in place and everyone on board, it looks like we're in for a great year!
