On 1st May 2024, Wednesday, Galgotias University, Uttar Pradesh India celebrated International Worker’s day with a special tree plantation event on the university campus. The event aimed to raise awareness about environmental sustainability, engage the university community in a meaningful activity, and contribute to the beautification of the campus.

The event began with an opening ceremony where the Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Singh Chauhan, an esteemed Professor from IIT Kanpur and a distinguished IEEE Fellow addressed the participants and emphasized the importance of workers, both in terms of human work and nature's work in sustaining life on Earth. Subsequently, He engaged with the university's National Cadet Corps (NCC) head, along with enthusiastic students from various departments. His interaction with the NCC head and students aimed to inspire and guide them towards fruitful future endeavors, particularly in association with IEEE UP Section.
