On May 2, 2024, the IEEE Computer Society chapter of KLS GIT held a highly anticipated Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) workshop that drew considerable interest from the community. Registration for the event began two days in advance, quickly surpassing 100 participants, signalling a robust demand for learning opportunities in this field. The workshop took place in a laboratory setting from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, providing attendees with an interactive environment to enhance their understanding of complex DSA concepts. IEEE CS Chair Manoj Patil led the session as the primary instructor and resource person, offering expert guidance throughout the event.

 

The workshop’s primary objective was to acquaint participants with industry-level requirements for data structures and algorithms, a critical skill set in today’s technology-driven landscape. Attendees were challenged with problem-solving exercises that simulated real-world scenarios, encouraging them to apply theoretical knowledge in practical situations. To ensure a comprehensive learning experience, the workshop included a dedicated doubt-clearing session, allowing participants to ask questions and seek clarification on challenging topics.

 

This event was a remarkable success, providing a platform for young professionals and students to engage with core DSA principles, gain insights into industry standards, and connect with peers sharing similar interests.
