Learn how to model phased array systems with Phased Array Systems Toolbox for RF radar and sonar applications. We will show antenna array modeling, mutual coupling, array calibration, beam pattern synthesis, conventional and adaptive beamforming techniques, and space time adaptive processing. At the end, we will demonstrate the modeling Sonar Phased arrays for target detection and direction of arrival estimation.

In this presentation, we will show these capabilities in MATLAB:

  • Phased array design and analysis
    • Modeling sub arrays with Sensor Array Analyzer App
    • Modeling array calibration
  • Beamforming and array signal processing
    • Beamforming using conventional techniques
    • Pattern Synthesis with Minimum Variance Optimization
    • Direction of arrival calculation
  • Modeling Sonar Phased array applications
