Abstract:

An Overview of Machine Learning for Constrained Devices

Come learn about how machine learning is applied to embedded and edge devices. This tech talk introduces machine learning concepts such as dataset collection, training of neural networks and deployment for MCUs, MPUs, and NPUs. Also included is a demonstration of Edge Impulse, an online machine learning platform with on-device SDK that is specifically targeted for edge and embedded use cases.

Biography:

 

Joshua Buck is an embedded developer with experience in test & measurement, HiL/SiL for automotive, and industrial IoT applications. He has previously worked at National Instruments in applications engineering, analog ASIC V&V, and project management. After National Instruments, he moved into test engineering and embedded development at American Innovations. He is currently a Senior Solutions Engineering Manager at Edge Impulse specializing in AI/ML applications for edge and embedded devices.
