Using a simple example, in this talk we will present a way to design, check  and optimize a Power Distribution Network (PDN) through a simple optimization method. The full process aims at verifying if the overall performance is still valid till the end-of-life of the product, especially taking care of the impact of capacitance aging.

Biography:

Danilo Di Febo, Ph.D.

Master degree Electronic Engineer at University of L’Aquila, 2012 PHD at the same University, Post Doc  developing a numerical tool in Java object oriented for 2D data comparison using the FSV (Feature Selective Validation technique ).

Few years as a consultant in Altran Italy based in Milan as a RF Engineer for home appliance devices.

Join in CST Italy on 2017, as Sales and Application Engineer focused on DC/DC Converter, Electrical motor and power transformer, PCB application,  Signal Integrity and Power Integrity, EMC/EMI issue,  Susceptibility issue

Later in Dassault Systemes, as a Solution Consultant Specialist in EUR-OMED Area, focused on DC/DC Converter, PCB application, Signal Integrity and Power Integrity, Electrical motor and power transformer.

Now Power integrity Expert in Huawei, focused on power supply system, PDN analyzer, Low Voltage High current buck converter, EMC/EMI issue.

Marco De Stefano of Huawei Technologies Italia S.r.l.

Biography:

Marco De Stefano, Ph.D.

Marco De Stefano received the M.Sc. mechatronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in electrical, electronics and communication engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy, in 2018 and 2022, respectively. He was a visiting Researcher with the Technical University Hamburg, Hamburg, Germany. Since 2022, he has been a Power Integrity Engineer with the Milan Research Center of Huawei. His research interests include model order reduction, fast simulation methods for signal and power integrity applications at the system level, and PDN optimization techniques. Mr. De Stefano was the recipient, and co-recipient, of the Best Student Paper Award for the IEEE Workshop on Signal and Power Integrity in 2022 and 2019, respectively, and he was a co-recipient of the IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility Best Paper Award in 2018.
