GBAS (Ground Based Augmentation System) - Aircraft GPS Landing System
Aerospace and Electronics Systems Society (AESS) is holding an lecture event on GBAS (Ground Based Augmentation System) which uses GPS technology for an approach landing aid to airport runways. This system replaces a very old Instrument Landing system technology known as ILS. The event presenter will be from Airservices Australia who has engineering responsibilty of the current inservice system. You are invited to come an listen about this technology, which provides greater efficency with aircraft traffic management.
