The IEEE CIS AU Student Branch Chapter in collaboration with IEEE CIS/GRSS Jt. Chapter of IEEE Hyderabad Section, Coding Cubs and Department of Artificial Intelligence has organized a 48-hour National Level Hackathon with Bootcamp, “Smart Hacks 2K24 - β Edition” from June 20-22, 2024 at Anurag University. The objective of the event is to act as a dynamic platform for Innovative & Young minds of India to solve problems with Societal Impact in domains: Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, Full Stack with Machine Learning and Open Innovation. Problem statements were released for IoT, Blockchain and Full Stack with ML domains where each problem statement is attached with societal problem. Participants were given an option to present their solution to their own problem statement through domain ‘Open Innovation’.

Event Name: Smart Hacks 2K24 - β Edition

The Hackathon was conducted in two rounds

Round 1 – Submission of proposed solution for a problem

Round 2 – Final round at Anurag University

• Teams have to register through payment of 200 INR per team in order to submit solution for first round
• Shortlisted teams have to register through payment of 500 INR per participant if IEEE Member 600 INR per participant Otherwise to secure their place to appear in Final round of Hackathon

The event received a enormous response from 7 states of India: Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh with 80+ Teams and 270+ young innovators to contribute for benefit of humanity

Smart Hacks 2K24 - β Edition started with welcome address from Mr. Karthik Rao P, Chair, IEEE CIS AU SBC followed by speeches of Guest of Honor – Mr. Prasad Oruganti, Data Scientist at LTI Mind Tree and Chief Guest – Dr. Pavan Kumar Damaraju VRS, Program Director, Data & Analytics, TCS Ltd. India in Inaugural Ceremony. After the Inaugural ceremony, two Boot camps on domains IoT and Full Stack with ML were run with objective to refine skills of participants in respective domains. The Hackathon included fun and relaxing events such as Cultural program on Day 1 and Yoga session, Camp fire on Day 2. The Internal faculty mentored teams two times i.e on Day 1 and Day 2 providing valuable insights. The Teams were evaluated in two rounds with first round on Day 2 by Jury from Veltris Pvt. Ltd and Final round on Day 3 by Jury facilitated by IEEE CIS/GRSS Jt. Chapter of IEEE Hyderabad Section.

The Event concluded with speeches from Guest of Honor – Mr. Haricharan Sarpatwar, Chief Guest – Dr. Vinod Chedalavada and distribution of prizes to Winners. All the participants were awarded with participation certificate
