Systems Engineering and Software Engineering: Frustration or Synergy?
IEEE Pikes Peak Section Presents: Systems Engineering and Software Engineering: Frustration or Synergy?, Dr.Richard Fairley, PhD.
Most modern systems contain significant amounts of software yet the linkages between systems engineering and software engineering are badly bent, if not broken. Frustration arises on both sides as a result of different approaches to problem solving, different development processes, and the differences between logical artifacts, such as software, and physical artifacts, such as hardware. This presentation will cover the current states of systems engineering and software engineering; some thoughts on approaches to improving the relationships between them will be presented.
Location, Date and Time: The presentation will be held at CTU at 4435 N Chestnut St, Colorado Springs, CO, December 21st at 5:30PM. The Computer Society will provide pizza and soda at no cost.
