This presentation starts with the simple transistor oscillator and describes various experiments to stabilize the frequency.  Subjects include thermistors, Raspberry Pi , Phased-Locked Loops, and Frequency Synthesizers.

Dan Cross-Cole will include results of his own experiments over many years of seeking the stable oscillator.  In keeping with this series of presentations including Raspberry Pi's, there is an experiment using the RPi-4B to stabilize a transistor oscillator.
