MCET SB GENERAL ELECTIONS-1 APRIL 2024
Meeting Agenda:
1. Holding the elections.
2. Discussing the segregation of teams and talking about what kind of work to expect for
SB members opting for the various teams.
3. Discussion regarding which Society, Council, or Community Chapter the SB members
wish to open in our SB.
4. Discussion regarding finalizing and filing the petition for the Website.
Meeting Report:
The meeting commenced promptly at 14:15 with a full attendance of SB members, including the SB Counselor and a guest faculty. SB Member and the nominee for the Office Position of Chair, Sri Ramana, initiated the meeting by explaining the agenda for the meeting. Discussion on the teams and their responsibilities ensued, with the Chair providing a detailed overview of each team’s role and expectations. This discussion aimed to ensure clarity and alignment among the members regarding their respective tasks and contributions to the SB’s activities.
At 14:25, a proposal was raised to initiate new chapters. The suggested chapters included a Sensor Council chapter, an SPS chapter, and a CSI chapter. The status of the petition for the SB’s website was deliberated at 14:26, with members providing updates on the progress in finalizing and submitting the petition. The meeting, the elections, commenced at 14:30. Voting cards were distributed, and the Chair presented his work plan for the upcoming term. Nominees for various positions then presented their proposed work plans, outlining their vision and objectives.
Following presentations, the voting process began at 14:53, with members casting their votes for their preferred candidates. The voting concluded at 15:00, and the counting of votes commenced immediately afterward. At 15:03, the results were announced, with Parthasaradhi being declared as the Webmaster. With the conclusion of the election process, the meeting was officially wound up at 15:10, marking the successful completion of the agenda objectives.
