The Inauguration of the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) Branch Chapter was held on June 15, 2024, at Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus (GNITC), Hyderabad. Almost 400 students attended, of whom around 70 were IEEE members. This inauguration was held with the collaboration of the CAS Society branch chapter, GNITC, Hyderabad.  The inauguration of the event was set in motion with a comprehensive and detailed briefing delivered by Mr. Malladi Narsimha Kartikeya, Student Chair, CAS Society, GNITC. During his speech, he explained various aspects and benefits of joining the IEEE. At the commencement of the inaugural session, Dr. Md. Rashid Mahmood, IEEE ComSoc Student Branch Chapter Advisor, GNITC, took the podium to provide an insightful overview of the realms of the IEEE Society. During his speech, he announces the name of the office bearer of the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc), GNITC, who was elected on June 7, 2024. Dr. S.M.K.M. Abbas Ahmad, Professor, ECE-GNITC, and IEEE CAS Student Branch Chapter Advisor, also addressed the gathering.  Dr. S. Maheswar Reddy, Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, GNITC, addressed the gathering. Dr. S. V. Ranganayakulu, Dean of Research and Development at GNITC, also addressed the gathering, and he explained how he has benefited from his IEEE membership since 1993. He explained how effectively he utilizes the benefits of IEEE in terms of magazines, journals, etc. Dr. S. Pardhasarthy, Joint Director, GNITC, also addresses the gathering. During his speech, he advised the organizer to form one more society related to core electrical engineering.  Dr. K. Venkata Rao, the Director of GNITC, also addressed the audience during the inaugural session.  Dr. Kumar C., Chairperson, IEEE Communication Society, Hyderabad section, was the chief guest of the program. He graced the inaugural session with her presence. He explained about the founding of IEEE, various IEEE regions, various societies of IEEE, knowledge sharing of IEEE through Spectrum magazine, the institute newsletter, IEEE Potential magazine, IEEE Xplore, etc. He also addressed the various funding schemes of the IEEE for its members. Dr. B. Abdul Raheem, Chairperson, CAS Society, Hyderabad section, also addressed the audience.  Mr. G. Naveen, an IEEE senior member, also graced this event. He emphasizes the growth of the IEEE Hyderabad section. At the end of the session, Mr. Imran Ali Mohammed, student chair of the IEEE Communication Society, GNITC, expressed his gratitude by delivering a vote of thanks.
