Data Science: The Path to a Data-Driven Future
IEEE VEC SB organized a webinar under CS SBC VEC titled "Data Science: The Path to a Data-Driven Future" featuring eminent speaker Mr. Sitaram Tadepalli on June 9th, 2024, under the guidance of our Branch Counselor, Ms. V. Madhavi mam.
The session began at 10:30 AM, with Ms. D. Srilekha and Ms. P. Shalini as hosts, introducing Mr. Sitaram Tadepalli.
At 11:00 AM, Mr. Tadepalli delivered an insightful presentation on Data Science methodologies in enterprises, covering Data Warehousing (DWH), Data Lakes, Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), modeling, and feature creation. He discussed the real-world implementation of these methodologies and highlighted best practices. Additionally, he shared his career journey, providing advice on skill development, industry trends, and future opportunities in Data Science.
Volunteers actively participated in a Q&A session, facilitating troubleshooting and enhancing learning, thus empowering participants to confidently apply their skills in real-world projects.

Sitaram Tadepalli is a distinguished leader in data and AI with over 18 years of comprehensive experience spanning data science, product management, analytics, and innovation evangelization. Presently, he holds the esteemed position of Vice President of Machine Learning Engineering at DBS Technology India, where he oversees the development and delivery of advanced AI products.He is a senior member of esteemed organizations such as IEEE and the Cloud Computing Innovation Council of India. He is honored to contribute as Chair of the Technology, Engineering, and Management Society at the IEEE Hyderabad section, as well as a council member of the AIM Leaders Council of Analytics India Magazine and the Thought Leader Council of 3AI.
