About the event:

The collaborative seminar was organized by the Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) and Women in Engineering (WIE) of IEEE Sreyas Student Branch with the support of the main EXCOM. It opened with a warm address by Dean Prof.B Sreenivasu sir and Madhu sir, the esteemed IEEE Branch counsellor, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and conveyed felicitations to the newly established RAS and WIE Executive Committee of IEEE SSB. The seminar commenced with an enlightening session by the guest speaker, Mr.Mahesh Nirati, Chair student activities committee, IEEE Hyderabad section, HCL tech. He delved into various aspects of cyber security, covering its introduction, significance, layers, and dangers of phishing. The guest speaker spoke in such a way that everyone understood the insights of cyber security easily as he gave many real-time issues as examples. The seminar helped the students gain incredible knowledge on cyber security and the need to protect their data from being stolen.

The seminar provided students with significant knowledge on cyber security and the importance of  protecting their data.  The seminar concluded on a high note, with the newly formed RAS and WIE Executive Committee members receiving their badges and expressing heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Mahesh Nirati for sharing his invaluable insights into cybersecurity.

Biography:

Mr. Mahesh Nirati is a seasoned Senior Analyst at HCLTech, distinguished by his rich expertise in Cybersecurity and IT Service Management. Since joining the IEEE Hyderabad Section in 2018, he has made significant contributions, demonstrating his dedication and leadership within the community. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of Student Activities Committee and Vice Chair of the Young Professionals Affinity Group of the IEEE Hyderabad Section.

 

Throughout his tenure, Mr. Nirati has held various key positions, including Vice Chair of Student Activities Committee of IEEE Hyderabad Section, Member of the IEEE R10 Section Chapter Committee (2021-2023), Editor of SYNAPSE, the IEEE Hyderabad Section Newsletter (2020-2022), and Executive Member of both the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society and the IEEE Education Society, Hyderabad Chapter (2020-2021). His earlier roles include serving as the IEEE Hyderabad Section Student Network Team Mentor in 2019, Zonal Lead at Warangal in 2018, and Student Network Member in 2018.

 

Mr. Nirati’s outstanding volunteer work has earned him numerous accolades, including the IEEE R10 Ethics Champion award in 2023, the IEEE Hyderabad Section Young Professional Award in 2021, and the IEEE Hyderabad Section Outstanding Student Volunteer Award in both 2019 and 2018. His extensive contributions and unwavering dedication continue to inspire many in the engineering and technology community, highlighting his commitment to advancing technology and fostering collaborative innovation.
