OPPORTUNITIES IN IEEE SAC WEBINAR

The Department of Information Technology in association with the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of Sri Sairam Engineering College successfully conducted a webinar on "Opportunities in IEEE SAC" on 24th June in an online mode. The event featured Mr. Aniketh Shenoy, Secretary of IEEE Region 10 (SAC) (Asia-Pacific), as the guest speaker. The webinar commenced at 7:45 PM and concluded at 8:45 PM.

The event began with an introductory note by Ms. K.R.Saratha,Assistant Professor, who welcomed the attendees and set the tone for the session. Mr. Aniketh Shenoy then took over, providing extensive insights into the various opportunities available within IEEE SAC. He emphasized the importance of IEEE Collabratec, a research and collaboration platform that connects technology professionals and students worldwide, allowing them to network, collaborate, and share resources.

Mr. Shenoy elaborated on the toolkit available for IEEE Student Branch Advisors, highlighting the resources and support systems that help in effectively managing student branches. He also discussed the myriad of opportunities for volunteers, including leadership roles, project funding, and professional development programs. His session was highly informative and motivated students to actively engage with IEEE and explore the numerous benefits it offers.

The webinar concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Renukadevi, who expressed gratitude to Mr. Shenoy for his valuable insights and to all participants for their active involvement. She also presented a virtual memento to the chief guest as a token of appreciation. Overall, the event was insightful and beneficial for the young and enthusiastic IEEE members, encouraging them to leverage the opportunities provided by IEEE SAC.
