Introduction:

IEEE JUIT Student Branch organized the offline FIFA event during its flagship R&D Expo on 3rd May 2024. This event aimed to bring together football gaming enthusiasts and allow them to compete against each other in a viral video game, FIFA. The event followed a 1v1 knockout format, with 16 participants.

 

Event Format:

The FIFA event comprised several 1v1 knockout rounds, where participants faced off against each other in intense virtual football matches. The winner of each game progressed to the next round, while the losing participant was eliminated from the competition. The event continued until only two participants remained for the grand finale.

 

Participant Selection:

A total of 16 participants were selected to compete in the FIFA event. They were chosen through registration, allowing individuals to showcase their interests and skills in the game. The participants included college and university students who shared a common passion for football and gaming.

 

Knockout Rounds:

The knockout rounds commenced enthusiastically as the participants took positions before their consoles. The matches were played on the FIFA gaming platform, where players controlled virtual football teams and aimed to outscore their opponents. The competition was fierce, with participants employing various strategies and tactics to gain an edge over their rivals.

 

Finals:

After several intense rounds of gameplay, only two participants remained for the grand finale. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as the finalists prepared to battle it in a high-stakes match. The tension in the room was palpable as both players showcased their skills, agility, and quick decision-making abilities.

 

Results and Prizes:

After an exhilarating finale, a winner was crowned based on their performance throughout the knockout rounds. The top-scoring participant received the championship title and was rewarded with a trophy, certificates, and other exciting prizes. The organizing committee and distinguished guests presented the awards to the winner, appreciating their skill and dedication.

 

Conclusion:

The offline FIFA event organized by IEEE JUIT Student Branch during the R&D Expo on 3rd May 2024 was a thrilling experience for both participants and spectators. The event provided a platform for football gaming enthusiasts to showcase their skills, fostered healthy competition, and brought the excitement of the virtual football world to life.
