"Unlocking the Fundamentals of research excellence"

The Department of Information Technology at Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad organized a successful three-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled "Unlocking the Fundamentals of Research Excellence" from 8th to 10th, July 2024. With a focus on research skills, the FDP aimed to equip participants with practical insights for independent research, project proposals, and effective communication.

On the first day of the FDP, the inaugural session was delivered by esteemed guest speaker Dr. K K Biswas from IIT Kanpur and Prof. Rahul Sharma HOD IT, AKGEC, Ghaziabad, inaugurated the event, sharing expertise in areas like Review on Real research: Lightweight CNN models, Research methodologies and Paradigms. The program covered topics including Effective Literature Review and Research Topic Selection. After that Dr Neeraj Kumar From Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Punjab and Dr. Deepti Mehrotra from Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Noida Continued Session with topics, How to write a quality research papers and Literature reviews: Searching, Critiquing, and Synthesizing scholar sources.

 

During the second day of the Faculty Development Program titled "Unlocking the Fundamentals of research excellence"  a series of insightful sessions were conducted. Dr. Krishan Kant Singh from Delhi Technical Campus, Gr. Noida, Dr. Akansha Singh from Bennett University, Gr. Noida, and Dr. Monika Jain, Dean R&D AKGEC, Ghaziabad, who shared valuable insights on expertise on Grant Writing and funding opportunities, valuable insights on Data collection Techniques, Statistical analysis tools and techniques, Qualitative data analysis methods and Writing research and review for high impact journals and ensuring research validity and reliability.

On the final day of the Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled "Unlocking the Fundamentals of Research Excellence"  Dr. Mohammad Shahbaz Assistant Professor at MIET, J&K, delivered a talk on Ethical consideration in research. This was followed by a session conducted by Dr. Dolly Sharma, Associate Professor & Head at Shiv Nadar Institute of Eminence, GR. Noida, who provided insights on Manuscript writing and publication strategies and Effective presentation of research findings. The session concluded with Dr. Thippa Reddy from Zhongda group, China, who shared valuable insights on Data collection Techniques, Statistical analysis tools and techniques. At the end of the program Dr. Anupama Sharma, Professor In Charge of IT Department, presented a formal vote of thanks. Special thanks to Director General Dr. R.K.
