IEEE VTS Philadelphia Chapter Meeting


The IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS) Philadelphia Chapter is holding a technical meeting.  The topic is NFPA 130 Compliant AC/DC Relays, Contactors, Breakers, and Other Devices.  Our speakers are Mr. Oleg Goureev, Component and Systems Manager, and Mr. Martin Bussiere, Business Development Manager, Rail Segment North America, ABB Electrification Products.

This presentation discusses new miniature circuit breaker technology used for electric protection and distribution on all on-board vehicle systems.  Also presented are NFPA 130 compliant products including molded-case circuit breakers, ac/dc relays, ac/dc contactors, and other new technology.

There is no charge for meeting attendance, only for PDH certificates.

Attendees may apply for 1.0 PDH provided through the IEEE Certificates Program, accepted in all states.  Member cost is $6.00 and non-member cost is $9.00 (USD) via vTools (credit card payments are processed through PayPal).   Complete online evaluation after lecture at https://r2.ieee.org/philadelphia-vts/forms/

Oleg Goureev of ABB Electrification Products

Biography:

Oleg Goureev has worked in the rail industry since 1998, starting with Stone Rail, a Wabtec Company, on the HVAC side.  Mr. Goureev then moved to ABB and was responsible for the electrification Smart Power Division.  He is an engineer responsible within ABB as the Component and System Manager for North America.  Oleg is a true systems integration engineer capable of overseeing any applications in rail and ensures products, systems, and solutions are well protected, distributed, and compliant to the customer specifications.   Mr. Goureev holds a MS in automation systems and robotic complexes from the Moscow State Technical University.

Martin Bussiere of ABB Electrification Products

Biography:

Mr. Martin Bussiere is the Business Development Manager Rail Segment North America. He oversees all business development and sales activities.  Mr. Bussiere joined ABB in 1994 as a Sales Representative for the low-voltage product division, then moving to different positions in the rail segment from Account Managers to Global Marketing manager for the rail sector.
