The IEEE Membership Development Committee, Delhi Section organized an online session for enhancing students’ interest in IEEE focusing on “IEEE MEMBERSHIP: A Magical Door to Professional Networking for Students and Research Scholars” on 11th May 2024 from 5 pm onwards in online mode. The resource person of the event was Dr. Rajesh Pindoriya, IEEE IAS Chapter Area Chair, R10 East and South Asia and Professor (Assi), Thapar Institute of Engg. and Tech.

The event unfolded with a virtual lamp lighting ceremony, symbolizing the commencement of an enlightening journey within the digital domain. Following this auspicious beginning, Dr. Manpreet Kaur introduced IEEE, highlighting its global significance. Dr. Shruti Jain gave an overview of the Membership Development Committee (MDC). The session then transitioned into a profound exploration of IEEE by Dr. Rajesh Pindoriya. Delving into various facets of IEEE, Dr. Pindoriya shared invaluable insights into its mission, diverse field involvement, prestigious awards, travel grants, financial support mechanisms, and professional networking platforms such as the IEEE Job site and Collabratec. The session concluded with a summary, emphasizing the value of IEEE membership. A special video by the PR&P Committee delivered a compelling message. Overall, the event provided a comprehensive understanding of IEEE's benefits and inspired active engagement within the IEEE community.
