Career Opportunities in Cloud Computing
The workshop on "Career Opportunities in Cloud Computing" held on January 31, 2023, organized by department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with IEEE conducted session for students aiming to pursue a career in the field of cloud computing. The distinguished speaker for the day was Rahul Tanthri, alumni of our college and an accomplished professional currently working at Siemens in Germany. The session shed light on various aspects of cloud computing and highlighted significant opportunities within the industry. Rahul Tanthri commenced the workshop by providing a comprehensive overview of cloud computing, elucidating its various models (Infrastructure as a Service - IaaS, Platform as a Service - PaaS, and Software as a Service - SaaS) and deployment types (public, private, and hybrid).The speaker emphasized the growing significance of cloud computing in the corporate world, illustrating how businesses across sectors are leveraging cloud services for enhanced scalability, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness. He also shared insights into the myriad career opportunities available in the field. He discussed roles such as cloud architect, cloud engineer, DevOps engineer, and cloud security specialist, highlighting the increasing demand for skilled professionals. Sowmya J Bhat, Head of the Department of CSE, expressed gratitude to all the participants, organizers, and the chief guest for making the session successful. Her words marked the conclusion of the event.
