EPA: Invited Speaker Session on environmental Engineering, Recruitment, and Alumni Mixer Event
Stephen Sturdivant, who is with the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s Sustainable Food Management Program, will be giving a webinar on How You Can Reduce Your Environmental Impact Through Food Choices. After that webinar, we will have recruitment/showcase of IEEE and our student branch. Finally, the event will conclude with an alumni mixer event.

How You Can Reduce Your Environmental Impact Through Food Choices – EPA Region 6
Stephen Sturdivant is an environmental engineer at the Environmental Protection Agency's Region 6 Sustainable Management of Food Program. Stephen graduated with a mechanical engineering degree from the University of North Texas and has been with the EPA since 2006, and worked in sustainable food management since 2009.
I will go over several important ways we can combat climate change, water pollution, and species extinction through our food choices. The presentation covers the environmental impacts of our food system and some ways we can reduce those impacts through choices like waste reduction and meal planning.
