Inauguration Ceremony of IEEE Societies - IEEE Communication Society, IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society, IEEE Power Electronics Society and IEEE Computer Society
The IEEE Student Branch STB 17901 of Santhiram Engineering College, Nandyal has conducted the Inauguration Ceremony of Newly Approved Four IEEE Societies namely IEEE Communication Society (ComSoc), IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTTs), IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELs) and IEEE Computer Society (CS) on 17.08.2024 at 10AM, in the Hybrid Mode at Santhiram Engineering College, Nandyal. For this program, the guest of honors from IEEE Hyderabad Section are Dr.Y.Vijalatha Garu, Chair, Dr.V.Jayaprakasan Garu, Treasurer, and Mr. Mahesh Nirati Garu, SAC Chair and from IEEE Anantapur Sub-section are Dr.V. Sankar Garu, Chair, and Dr.D.V.Ashok Kumar Garu, Vice-chair are attend and gave the suggestions for the chapter enhancement and opportunities available with the IEEE societies and final given their best wishes to the students.
Later, Dr. C. Kumar Garu, Chair – Communication Society, IEEE Hyderabad Section has shared the views on communication society opportunities with the IEEE students and inaugurated the IEEE Communication Society Chapter COM19-17901D under SREC IEEE Student Branch STB 17901.
Then after, Dr. Prashant Kumar Mishra Garu, Chair - Microwave Theory and Technology, IEEE Hyderabad Section has presented the lecture about Microwave Theory and Technology Society opportunities with the students and Inaugurated the IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society Chapter MTT17-17901E under SREC IEEE Student Branch STB 17901.
Dr. D. Hari Krishna Garu, Vice Chair - Power Electronics Society, IEEE Hyderabad Section has given key note address on Scope of Power Electronics society and its benefits with the students and Inaugurated the IEEE Power Electronics Society Chapter PEL35-17901C under SREC IEEE Student Branch STB 17901.
Dr. A.Vijaya Krishna Garu, Vice Chair - Computer Society, IEEE Hyderabad Section has shared his thoughts on Computer Society importance and future needs of it with IEEE students and Inaugurated the IEEE Computer Society Chapter C16-17901B under SREC IEEE Student Branch STB 17901.
Finally, the Inauguration of IEEE Societies program is concluded with vote of thanks and National Anthem.

Mr. Mahesh Nirati
1. Mr. Mahesh Nirati is a seasoned Senior Analyst at HCLTech, distinguished by his rich expertise in Cybersecurity and IT Service Management.
2. Since joining the IEEE Hyderabad Section in 2018, he has made significant contributions, demonstrating his dedication and leadership within the community.
3. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of Student Activities Committee and Vice Chair of the Young Professionals Affinity Group of the IEEE Hyderabad Section.
4. Throughout his tenure, Mr. Nirati has held various key positions, including Vice Chair of Student Activities Committee of IEEE Hyderabad Section (2023-2024), Member of the IEEE R10 Section Chapter Committee (2021-2023), Editor of SYNAPSE, the IEEE Hyderabad Section Newsletter (2020-2022), and Executive Member of both the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society and the IEEE Education Society, Hyderabad Chapter (2020-2021)
5. His earlier roles include serving as the IEEE Hyderabad Section Student Network Team Mentor in 2019, Zonal Lead at Warangal in 2018, and Student Network Member in 2018.

Dr. Prashant Kumar Mishra
1. Received his B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from REC, Bhopal in 2002 and M.Tech & Ph.D. degrees from IIT Bombay in 2015.
2. He has been working for design and development of wireless communication systems, RF systems and antennas.
3. His research areas are conformal antennas, broadband antennas, high gain antenna arrays, frequency selective surfaces,wireless communication systems, etc.
4. He has over 22 years of experience with numerous achievements and recognitions.
5. Dr. Prashant Kumar Mishra is Senior Member of IEEE and currently serving as Chair of MTT-S/AP-S/EMC-S Joint Chapter of Hyderabad Section.

1. Dr. D. Hari Krishna is an IEEE Senior Member and an active volunteer in IEEE Hyderabad Section.
2. He is currently serving as Vice Chair for PES/IAS/PELS Joint chapter, IEEE Hyderabad Section.
3. Earlier he served as Secretary and Excom member for PES/IAS/PELS Joint chapter, IEEE Hyderabad Section.
4. He has done his PhD from NIT Warangal in 2013. He has got 22 research papers in various national and international journals and conferences to his credit.
5. He is working as an Associate Professor in EEE Department in MVSR Engineering College.
6. He is also serving as a Student Branch Counsellor of IEEE MVSR Student Branch. Student Branch received IEEE Darrel Chong Award Gold, Silver for 2017, 2016.
7. He has received Outstanding Student Branch Counsellor Award in IEEE Hyderabad Section.
8. 2020 Lead Student Branch Award, 2017 Upcoming SB Award, and 2016 Emerging Student Branch.
9. Under his mentorship various students have received REM Scholarship Award, UPI Award, CLAP Challenge Award and IEEE Xtreme ranking. He is also Proctor for IEEE Xtreme program
10. He has mentored many student to be active volunteers and ambassadors for various IEEE events throughout the globe.

Dr. A.Vijaya Krishna
1. He is an experienced researcher working in the Department of Information, G Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science, Hyderabad, India since July, 2022
2. Before joining GNITS, he worked for 11 years at Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Rajampet affiliated to JNT University Anantapuramu.
3. He completed his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India, Master’s degree from Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Rajampet affiliated to JNT University Anantapuramu, and Bachelor's degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapuramu.
4. He is a Vice Chairman for IEEE Computer Society, Hyderabad Section.
5. He also serves as a reviewer in several International Journals and also as a program committee member/reviewer in renowned international conferences.
6. He authored more than 25 papers/book-chapters published by prominent publishing houses such as IEEE, Springer, Inderscience, CMC journals and others.
7. His area of interests is Internet of Things, MANETs, WSNs, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Software Project Management.

Dr.V.Sankar of JNTU CEA

Biography:
Dr. V. Sankar
1. He graduated from JNTUA CEA (EE 1978), Masters from JNTUK CEK( 1980 PS with HVE). PhD from IIT D ( 1994).
2. He worked at JNTUACEA from July ( 1982 July to 2020 Feb ) and served in various capacities such as: in the College HoD, Vice principal and Principal and at the University JNTUA: Registrar, DFA & AM, and DAP
3. He is currently serving As Vice President of ANECAA ATP and Chair ATPSS. He has guided 16 Ph. D. Students, and two more are pursuing. He has got over 120 publications in IJ/NJ and IC/ NC Papers
4. He is the recipient of AP State Best Teacher Award (2010), Rayalaseema Vidya Rathna 2012).
5. He has volunteered as Fonder of : SBC JNTUA CEA (2013-14), Ananthapuramu Zone Coordinator (2014-16), Chair Ananthapuram Subsection (ATPSS) (2017-19), SM (Since 18 years), and LMAG (2024), Recipient of Ethics Champion (2023), IEEE HS Distinguished Volunteer Award (2020), Founding Vice Chair of RSC of HS (2021 Sept. Feb. 2024).
6. He has been selected as a Mentor volunteer for Internships of HS, India Council Industry Academia Youth Professional Mentorship Program (2024).
7. His areas of interests are: Power Systems, Reliability Engineering and Applications to various fields
He has got 3 books one single author on "System Reliability Concepts", and two as coauthored with the Ph. D. awardees.
