1st Industry Academia Engagement Workshop on 'Industry 4.0 AI, ML, and Deep Learning Applications in Energy and Environment Engineering’
The first Industry Academia Engagement Workshop on 'Industry 4.0 AI, ML, and Deep Learning Applications in Energy and Environment Engineering’ was organised on 6th July 2024. This event was supported by Industry Relations Committee of R10.
Bernard-Chair, R10 Industry Relation delivered a key note speech. He congratulated IEEE PES Chapter for organising Industry Academia Engagement Workshop on 'Industry 4.0 AI, ML, and Deep Learning Applications in Energy and Environment Engineering’
He elaborated that advanced tools such AI, ML and Deep learning have opened up new opportunities for innovation in this domain.
Industry experts were from Pune Municipal Corporation(PMC), DPTS Enterprises, Texol Energy Pvt. Ltd., TCS and SAS Powertech Pvt. Ltd. Academic institutions participated were AISSMS Institute of Information Technology, International Institute of Information Technology(I2IT) and AISSMS College of Engineering.
Industry and professional experts working in the domain of Energy and Environment Engineering’ were invited to the workshop. Faculty from academic institutions willing to work in Energy and Environment were invited to the workshop. The role of PES Chapter was to bring together industries and academia for collaborative work in the domain area.
Professionals and industries in various domain of energy and environment were enthusiastic in collaborating with academic institutions for providing data, training, internship and few projects. Experts from Industry and academia discussed various aspects related to Industry and Academia engagement related to AI, ML and Deep learning applications to energy and environment engineering.
The outcome expected from this workshop:
- Students projects related to energy and environment based on the insights provided by industry experts and their readiness to provide the data for analysis.
- Awareness, Internship and training for students
- Possible collaborative research and innovative projects.
