Care in a Kit: First Aid Essentials
India Space Week, observed annually from August 12 to August 18, celebrates Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the visionary behind ISRO and a pioneer in space science. Reflecting this spirit of innovation, the IEEE SIGHT Affinity Group of the IEEE Student Branch at Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), recently launched a noteworthy initiative titled "Care in a Kit: First Aid Essentials."
Event Overview : On 21st of August, 2024, the event began with an insightful introduction session hosted by Dr. Hemant Sood, Dr. Nancy Singla, Preetimay Patel, Prerna Roy and led Dr. Hemant Sood shared valuable knowledge on the importance of a well-designed first aid kit, setting the stage for the day's activities.

Items Used in the KIT
Adhesive bandages, sterile gauze pads, adhesive tape, antiseptic wipes, antibiotic ointment, tweezers, scissors, elastic bandages, disposable gloves, a CPR mask, instant cold packs, a thermometer, and pain relievers like Ibuprofen or Aspirin.
Safety and Compliance
The design of the first aid kit must comply with relevant health and safety standards, such as those set by OSHA for workplace kits, or ISO (International Organization for Standardization) guidelines for general first aid kits.
