Cumplimiento de seguridad para Electric Utilities Este curso repasa los principales estándares regulatorios y de consenso aplicables a las empresas eléctricas. El curso incluye OSHA 1910.269 (Generación de Energía Eléctrica, Transmisión y Distribución), NESC-2012 - Parte 4 (Reglas de Trabajo Nacional de Seguridad Eléctrica Code-Ultima edición), IEEE-516 (Guía de Métodos de mantenimiento en líneas eléctricas activas) y otros la ASTM (Sociedad Americana para Pruebas y Materiales) y ANSI (American National Standards Institute) estándares utilizados por las empresas eléctricas. El tiempo de clase - 2 días Este curso está diseñado para profesionales de seguridad de servicios públicos, gerentes, supervisores, capataz general, representantes de los trabajadores y otras personas que necesitan información específica sobre los estándares de servicios eléctricos.

Biography:

Brent McKinney is Director of Electric Transmission and Distribution for City Utilities of Springfield, Missouri. He has responsibility for delivering electricity safely and reliably to 111,000 customers in Missouri’s third largest city. McKinney has 30 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Operations, and Tree Management. During his career, he has been the leader of restoration efforts following numerous storms, including major, historic ice events in Springfield during 2007 and 2008. McKinney is the current Chairman of the American Public Power Association’s Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3) committee. He also has served as Chairman of APPA’s Electric Transmission and Distribution Committee, System Planning Committee and Chairman of APPA’s Engineering and Operations Committee. McKinney is a principle voting member and Secretariat of the National Electric Safety Code Subcommittee 8 (work rules), representing APPA. He earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering, plus an additional Master’s degree in Engineering Management, from the Missouri University of Science & Technology in Rolla, Missouri. He is a registered professional engineer in Missouri.
