1st Annual IEEE WNC Section Summer Picnic – Saturday, Sept 21
All WNC Section members and their families are invited to attend the 1st Annual Summer Picnic on Saturday, September 21st, at Lake Julian Park in Asheville from 11 am to 2 pm. Join us at Picnic Shelter #3, right on the lake, just past the boat docks, for a great BBQ/Picnic Lunch and the opportunity to socialize and have fun with fellow IEEE members and their families.
THE FOOD
Food will be served between 11:30 and 12:30 pm. All the essentials will be provided, including BBQ Pork or Chicken, rolls, plates, cups, napkins, and utensils. Members should bring a ready-to-serve side dish to share, their own soft drinks (bottled water will be provided), and a lawn/folding chair. You are welcome to bring extra lawn/folding chairs or folding tables if you have them.
Please note that alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the park.

Registration is mandatory. When registering please indicate your choice of pork or chicken.

THE FUN
Lake Julian Park offers disc golf, outdoor games, a playground, paddle boats, and water access along a picturesque 300-acre public lake. A sand volleyball court and horseshoe pits are available for use on a first-come basis. Volleyballs and horseshoes can be checked out at no charge with proof of a driver’s license. An 18-basket disc golf course is located throughout the perimeter of the park. Feel free to bring any yard games (cornhole, bean bag toss, ring toss, tug-of-war, etc.) you may have on hand.
