On September 8, 2024, the SEC IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter hosted an enlightening session on Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs). Designed to equip attendees with a thorough understanding of these transformative technologies, the event opened with a welcome speech by Jagadish, Secretary of SEC IEEE Computer Society SBC, who emphasized the significance of LLMs and GenAI in the contemporary AI-driven landscape. The session's highlight was an engaging presentation by Mr. Krishnan V C, a System Engineer at TCS, who shared his extensive knowledge and practical insights into the applications of LLMs and the potential of GenAI to revolutionize various industries. His expertise gave the audience a clear view of how these advanced tools are utilized in real-world scenarios.
