Biography:

Dr. Ritu Malhotra is an accomplished professional engineer and senior project specialist with experience in engineering, leadership and board governance. Ritu is currently the President and CEO of March Consulting Associates Inc. (March) and has been with March since 2012. With over 20 years of combined experience in technical design and management, in her current role at March, Ritu also sponsors and manages projects for Saskatchewan’s heavy industrial sector. Her technical expertise is focused in the areas of power distribution systems, protective relay and control systems and she has led numerous engineering projects for Saskatchewan’s mining, power generation, clean energy and infrastructure sectors.  She holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and has published numerous papers in her area of expertise, specifically on industrial applications of various engineering principles. She also holds Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Institute of Corporate Directors ICD.D Designation, Professional Director (Pro. Dir.) and Public Sector Governance (PSGov) designations and she has won numerous accolades including Saskatoon Engineering Society (SES) Engineer of the Year – 2020, Women of Distinction Winner - Business and Professions Category, and she is a Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal Recipient.
