The event will feature a variety of activities tailored to engage participants in meaningful discussions and interactions. From membership drives and technical seminars to social networking sessions, IEEE Day 2024 will provide attendees with valuable insights and opportunities to grow their professional network.
Throughout the event, there will be a focus on promoting the benefits of IEEE membership, encouraging new sign-ups, and strengthening the sense of community among existing members. Day 1: Membership Promotion and Celebration of IEEE Day
10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Event: Membership Promotion Campaign (Email)
Details: A campus-wide email campaign will be sent to faculty and students, highlighting the benefits of IEEE membership, upcoming events, and opportunities. Attachments will include membership forms, IEEE brochures, and the event schedule. The email will also include an invitation to attend the IEEE Day celebration with cake, snacks, and a discussion.

2:50 PM – 3:30 PM
Event: Opening Ceremony
Details: The official opening of the event will feature a welcome address by the branch counselor or senior faculty member. This will provide an overview of IEEE, the importance of IEEE Day, and the schedule for the 3-day event.

3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Event: Membership Drive and Celebration
Details: IEEE student branch representatives will share testimonials from current members, outline opportunities available to IEEE members, and assist new members with sign-ups. To celebrate IEEE Day 2024, a cake-cutting ceremony will be held, followed by tea and snacks.

Day 2: Social and Networking Activities

Event: IEEE Social Media Campaign
Details: Students and faculty will be encouraged to engage in a social media campaign celebrating IEEE Day. Participants will use hashtags (#IEEEDay2024, #IEEECommunity) and display the IEEE Day 2024 badge on their profiles. A contest for the most creative post will award a prize to the winner.

Event: IEEE Social Activity: Call for Proposals & General Interest Discussion
Details: A casual networking session over tea, where attendees will participate in discussions about the future of technology and society. Additionally, students will present proposals aimed at solving local community problems, and the best solutions will receive seed funding for implementation.

Day 3: Technical Activities and Seminar

Event: Technical Debate: "Is AI a Threat to Humanity?"
Details: Two student teams will debate the pros and cons of artificial intelligence, addressing its benefits and risks. A panel of judges will evaluate the debate, and a Q&A session will follow.
