Event Highlights:
The "Why IEEE?" event, organized by “IEEE CKPCET Student Branch”,
was aimed at introducing students to the IEEE community, its benefits,
and details of societies such as SPS, WIE, and CS.
Welcome session:
Prakash Bhutaiya (Chair, IEEE CKPCET SPS SBC). He greeted the
students and guest members, which included:
- Dr. Mita Paunwala (Branch Counselor, CKPCET SB)
- Khusboo Jha (Chair, IEEE SCET SPS SBC)
- Chahi Tejani (Chair, WIE SCET)
- Fenil Patel (Vice Chair, CS Society SCET)
- Chirag Chauhan (Secretary, CS Society SCET)
Prayer:
Jainesh Tarasariya (Secretary, IEEE CKPCET SB) led a prayer, setting a
positive tone for the event.
Introduction to IEEE:
The main session began with Dr. Mita Paunwala providing an
insightful introduction to IEEE and the SPS (Signal Processing Society).
Her presentation gave students a comprehensive understanding of
IEEE’s mission and its importance in the global engineering
community.
Guest Speakers: 
The guest student members then took turns introducing their
respective positions and societies:

Khusboo Jha: Spoke about her journey with
IEEE, illustrating how it has shaped her
academic and professional pursuits.
She explained why students should join
IEEE and the benefits of the SPS.
Chahi Tejani: Shared her insights on the
unique oportunities for women in engineering
within IEEE, encouraging female students
to engage with the society.
Fenil Patel: Discussed the collaborative
projects and workshops organized under
IEEE, highlighting the benefits of
teamwork and networking.
Chirag Chauhan: Concluded the segment
by sharing the skills and experiences
gained through IEEE involvement,
motivating attendeeds to consider
membership seriously.
Fun Quiz:
A small but engaging quiz session followed, led by Prakash Bhutaiya.
The quiz tested the attendees' knowledge about IEEE, and the winner
was awarded *free IEEE membership*
, adding excitement to the
session.
The event was a great success, with active participation from both IEEE
and guest members, and it served as an excellent platform for students
to understand the value of IEEE membership and societies.
