We are pleased to announce the organization of the IEEE Day event on Thursday🔥🔥, October 10, at the IT Faculty Theater, starting at 10:00 AM. The event aims to introduce students to what IEEE is and the various societies it encompasses, and how they can benefit from it in developing their academic and professional skills.

The event will feature several speakers who will highlight IEEE in general, along with detailed information about the different societies within IEEE, including:

  • Aerospace & Electronic Systems Society (AESS)
  • Computer Society (CS)
  • Robotics and Automation Society (RAS)

Additionally, there will be a panel discussion about IEEE and its advantages, along with booths outside the theater and an exhibition showcasing innovative student projects from various technical disciplines.

Jafar Alkadrawi

Topic:

the Role of the Student Activities Committee (SAC) in IEEE

Biography:

Jafar Alkadrawi served as the Marketing Officer for IEEE RAS at TTU, where his team won the award for the Best Chapter globally. The team was honored in Japan and received a prize of $1,000.

He led the IEEE PITCHINNO Entrepreneurship Competition in Jordan, where he earned the awards for Best Ambassador and Best Entrepreneurship Event in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. He was recognized at the IEEE SYP 2024 Congress in France, where he received a $400 prize.

Additionally, he was the Head of Marketing for the IEEE Middle East Students and Young Professionals Congress.

Currently, Jafar Alkadrawi is the IEEE Student Representative for the Jordan Section, leading several initiatives that positively impact the IEEE community in Jordan.

Eng. Mustafa Aqrabawe

Benefits of IEEE for Young Professionals and Recent Graduates

Biography:

Eng. Mustafa Aqrabawe is an Electrical Engineer with 2 years of experience in Operations & Maintenance, Renewable Energy, and Project Management. Currently serving as an O&M Engineer at Sepco3, he is responsible for overseeing the operations of a 33 MW power plant, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Since 2022, Mustafa has been the Chairman of IEEE Young Professionals Jordan and a key member of the IEEE Jordan Section Executive Committee. His involvement with IEEE dates back to 2019, during which he has spearheaded several impactful initiatives aimed at fostering innovation, mentorship, and professional development within the engineering community. In recognition of his contributions, Mustafa was honored with the Exceptional Volunteer Award in 2023.


Eng. Naser Al-Deen Abu Awwad

Biography:

Eng. Naser Al-Deen Abu Awwad
Mechatronics Engineer, graduated from Tafila Technical University.
A member of IEEE for six years, he has held various positions in the IEEE Jordan Section.
He currently serves as the Membership Development Officer and Vice-Chair of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) Jordan Chapter at the Jordan Section level.

Biography:

A mechtronics engineer graduated from the Hashemite University, currently works as a guidance and control system engineer at MarsRobotics company .Also working as AI and systems engineer at PNIN Tech

Mohammad Alqasem

Biography:

Mohammad has been an active IEEE member for two years, earning the Outstanding Chapter Award globally with CS JU SBC as the first chapter in the Middle East. He was also named the Best Region 8 Entrepreneurship Ambassador in 2023 and has led key national and international initiatives.

Contributions of the Societies:

Each of our societies will contribute by providing numerous engaging booths, offering visitors the opportunity to explore diverse fields that enhance their knowledge and skills. Here are some details about the contributions from each society:

  • Role of the Computer Society(CS) in the Event💻:

  1. Software Booth: The software booth will provide an introduction to web development, mobile development, and software engineering, including an interactive game and stickers.
  2. AI Booth: Arduino projects that are useful in daily life will be showcased, along with explanations of the components. There will also be questions and contests with stickers and prizes provided by a company.
  3. Cybersecurity Booth: The booth will offer an interactive experience through security questions using Kahoot and Quizlet. Additionally, it will include code vulnerability assessments and a simulated response to external attacks to enhance security awareness.
  4. Problem Solving Booth: Educational games will be presented to highlight the importance of problem-solving skills, along with resources to help participants get started in developing and improving these skills in their daily lives.
  5. Animation Booth: This booth will provide an overview of different types of animation, with practical applications such as Rigging and Green Screen. It will also feature a drawing competition, awareness brochures, and a beginner’s guide.
  6. Gaming Booth: The booth will include a theoretical section introducing games, their types, and environments, along with a practical section for game development using Unity and board games. Cybersecurity awareness brochures will also be available.

  • Role of the Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) in the Event🤖:

  1. Explore RAS: The RAS booth will introduce attendees to the society's goals and activities, with opportunities for new member registration and brochure distribution.
  2. Robotics Competitions Hub: This hub will showcase university projects that participated in various competitions, such as Somo Robotics, along with a video highlighting key moments from these competitions.
  3. Student Robotics Showcase: Visitors will have the chance to see models and live demonstrations of some innovative student robotics projects.
