Introduction to IEEE RAS Bangalore Section

The talk by Dr. Nippun Kumaar, Chair - IEEE RAS Bangalore Section, highlights the growth of RAS Bangalore, which has 523 members and 30 SBCs, 5 of which were started in 2024. Around 70% of members are students, with 90% of SBCs actively conducting events.

Dr. Nippun emphasizes the benefits of being part of an SBC, such as networking, skill development, and exposure. He encourages the new chapter to apply for a startup fund, organize regular events, and strengthen their technical teams through training.

The presentation outlines how IEEE RAS Bangalore supports SBCs with technical and financial aid, hosting events, and providing opportunities to volunteer in flagship programs like rural workshops. It also discusses plans for upcoming events, including webinars, robotics workshops, and the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The talk was concluded with an invitation to collaborate and offers resources to help the SBC become a hub for innovation and learning.
