IEEE EDS Technical talk by Sankha Baran Dutta
One day IEEE EDS Technical Talk was organized by the IEEE ED MSIT Student Branch Chapter, in association with the Department of ECE, Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology on October 7th, 2023.
Mr. Sankha Baran Dutta , 2008 pass out. He has done Masters from the University of Manitoba- Canada; Phd from University of California, Riverside-USA. Presently he is doing Post-doc at Pacific Northwest national lab-USA. His Research interest: Gpu, microarchitectural security, parallel computing, processor architecture.
About 45 (12 IEEE members) participants were present during the session. The sole objective of explaining parallel computing, processor architechture to the students was to provide a brief idea about how the domain is gaining attentions and what are the possible scopes in this domain. It was an extremely important talk where the students got the opportunity to know and understand the different research fields and ideas. The participants were extremely happy to have Dr. Dutta as their Speaker on that day and would like to hear more from him in the future.
