The IEEE Day celebration was a special event designed to bring our members together for a day filled with engaging icebreaking activities and inspiring talks. This event commemorates the first gathering of engineers worldwide in 1884 to share their technical ideas, marking a significant moment in the history of engineering.

Agenda

  • Welcome and Breakfast: The event kicked off with a warm welcome to all members, accompanied by a delicious breakfast to energize everyone for the day ahead.

  • Inspirational Talks: Our speakers, Mohamed Ali Zormati and Saif Bouaziz, shared their unique IEEE experiences, offering valuable insights and motivating members to pursue their passions in engineering and technology.

  • Musical Pause: Following the talks, attendees enjoyed a musical interlude, creating a lively atmosphere for socializing.

  • Team Building Activity: Members participated in a fun team-building activity that fostered collaboration and strengthened connections among participants.

  • Lunch: A delicious lunch was served, providing an opportunity for informal discussions and networking.

  • Murder Mystery Game: Attendees engaged in an exciting murder mystery game. The winners were awarded exclusive IEEE ENSI SB jackets and T-shirts.

  • Coffee Break: After the murder mystery, a coffee break allowed members to recharge, socialize, and discuss the game.

  • Dance Party: The event continued with a lively dance party, encouraging everyone to let loose and have fun.

  • Group Photo: A memorable group photo was taken to capture the spirit of the day.

  • Anonymous Messages: Members created envelopes and wrote anonymous messages for each other, promoting kindness and connection within the group.

  • Tree of Imprints: We created a beautiful tree with the fingerprints of each member, symbolizing unity and individuality within the IEEE community.

  • Gifts: Each participant received a notebook and pen as a token of appreciation for their involvement.

  • Final Thoughts: Before leaving, members were invited to write a message on a sticker and take one with them, ensuring they carried a piece of the event home.

The IEEE Day celebration was a fun and impactful day that successfully connected our members, inspired them with valuable insights, and fostered a sense of community. Mohamed Ali Zormati is a Network Design Engineer at Orange Tunisia with an impressive background in leadership and community building within IEEE. As the IEEE Tunisia Section Volunteers Tools Coordinator, he plays a crucial role in supporting the region’s volunteer efforts. Additionally, he serves as the IEEE Tunisia Section and Orange Digital Center Partnership Coordinator, facilitating collaborations between key players in the tech industry and IEEE. His impact extends globally as the IEEE Region 8 Student Branch Chapter Coordinator and IEEE Africa Council Inter-Sections Relationships Committee Chair, where he fosters connections across regions and promotes the exchange of ideas. Mohamed’s talk focused on the importance of collaboration and growth within the IEEE network, inspiring members to take advantage of the opportunities IEEE offers.

Saif Bouaziz discussed his journey from being the Chairman of the IEEE ENSI Student Branch to his current role as a DevOps and Cloud Engineer. He emphasized how IEEE helped him develop essential leadership skills, expand his professional network, and seize career opportunities. Saif encouraged students to get involved in IEEE and use it as a platform for both personal and professional development.

Saif Bouaziz, currently a DevOps and Cloud Engineer at Knowlepsy, shared his journey of leadership and technical expertise. As the former Chairman of the IEEE ENSI Student Branch, Saif played a pivotal role in guiding the branch and nurturing the next generation of engineers. His experience in cloud engineering, combined with his hands-on involvement in IEEE, provided a unique perspective on how technical skills and leadership roles can intersect. During his talk, Saif emphasized the value of leadership within IEEE and how it shaped his career path, encouraging members to step up and take active roles in their own professional development through the organization.
