Digital Rights for AR and XR communication
Prof. Massimo Farina, from the University of Cagliari (Italy) will present a talk on digital rights for augmented reality (AR) and extended reality (XR) communication. The talk will tack also the generation of AI (Artificial Intelligence)-driven AR and XR content and how this affects digital communication rights. The lecture will be anchored in the frame of the https://heat-xr.eu/ project, specialised in XR content creation and distribution.
Prof. Farina will present also the "Holmes" research project https://sites.unica.it/holmes/, having as main topic generative AI and Copyright.
The talk will be followed by a Q&A session and by a meeting of the Directorial Board of the IEEE Broadcasting Chapter in Romania.

Digital Rights for AR and XR communication
Biography:
Massimo Farina received the M.S. degree in law from the University of Cagliari, Italy, and the Ph.D. degree in computer law from the University of Bologna, Italy. Since 2006, he has been an Assistant Professor of computer and new technologies law with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE), University of Cagliari, where he is currently a Data Protection Officer. He is also a Coordinator of ICT4Law and Forensics. His research interests include data protection, computer crimes, digital forensics, and juridical protection of software.
